Progress Update...

We've taken some video footage of Molly's training today, so you should see it on my youtube channel shortly :) We had a great training session in the park, teaching basic recall, and it's gone very well. She has a very playful personality which makes her a joy to train.

I'd like to give another quick shout out to Tim from stop that dog too, we've been in touch over email and he's given me some great insight (and i've been doing this a long time!) so definitely check out his guides on dog training, there's a lot of great advice on there.

In other news, we've been making good progress on the house training front as well, which the wife is also very happy about too!We had a lot of problems at first with Molly and her house training, with a lot of anxiety involved, but in the new loving home she's settled down very well, and this has made the house training easier over the last few weeks too.

Where Molly Came From...

Someone asked me about Molly and where he came from, so I thought I'd write a quick post to answer the question. She was a rescue dog, who came from the Dog's Trust. It's a trust worth supporting, and it's always been my first port of call when I'm looking for a new dog to take care of. I really recommend taking in a rescue dog or sponsoring a dog if you can.

Molly's House Training

We've been making great progress with basic obedience lessons, but something that we've been struggling with lately is house training! I've been really impressed with how Molly has taken to basic commands, she already sits and stays very well, but house training has been a real problem, although things are starting to get better.

Actually, I found this useful article on how to stop your dog peeing in the house, and it gives some good tips that have been working well over the last week. I'm sure it's just a matter of patience and time before Molly gets a good grasp on house training. Being around the house more over the last week has helped as well to be honest.

Molly's Training Progress

Hey! Welcome to my new blog. My name is Jack, and I decided to make a blog about puppy training, because I've recently had a new puppy join the family, and on this blog I'll be tracking the progess we've made with his training.

I'm not an expert, but I have a little experience, and I'll be sharing what I learn along the way as well! So thanks for reading, and I'll be posting soon about how each training session goes :)

Oh and by the way, here's a picture of the puppy, Molly...
